Drum Lessons Online

Module 17 deals with the ability to play with and create parts that synergistically compliment playing with loops.

Your goal after this module is to be able to develop your ear to hear things in loops and your band members parts that help you create a vibe or groove around what they are doing.

The goal of this is to be able to play through the exercises with a smooth flow and to be able to hear and identify if there is any distinction in the sound of your stroke transitions.

In addition, I’ve developed a really cool pdf exercise that allows you to practice this.

Be sure to read the exercise variations at the bottom for a more challenging workout.

Your goal should be to memorize this.

You do that and you have accomplished something!

In this module we look at how most drum fills are made up of simple notes, usually comprised of space to create a transition from one part of a song to another.
