Module 20 - Band-n-a-Pods

The BIPS for Module 20 are in the time signature of 6/8.

Count as follows - 1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 4 5 6, etc…

Usually the simple pattern to play is the kick drum on 1, and the snare on 4. Experiment and have fun. It’s a great way to work on your triplet patterns or for the intermediate to advanced crew, even throwing some poly-rhythmic 3 against 4 stuff in!!

There are 8 different .mp3’s that you can use. I have put them all in a .zip file for you to download to your computer.

They range from 65-100 bpm.

Download the .zip file containing the Band-N-A-Pods by right clicking the file below and Choosing “Save As”.

“More About Finesse Training”

Module 20 is a continuation of Module 19.

This goes into another exercise to help develop flow and feel while playing the space between the hits.

Finesse to me is one of the most differentiating factors in drummers. A drummers ability to execute with finesse is a must.

This module is just one exercise that will help increase your ability to do that.
